There was a very strong wind/rain storm outside, and there were women in very skimpy Halloween costumes that they kicked out of their heated outer lobby area into the cold. Probably the least forgivable thing they did was kicking us out 20 minutes after we bought a round of beers ( I’m not a beer chugger it takes me a bit longer to finish!). This next visit they were not very crowded on the lower floor but still only had one waitress service the entire area, and though she was trying very hard she couldn’t make up for the fact that they needed at least 1 more for the job, and service was poor (we had to flag her down several times just to place a food over order, and she brought the food out but there was no silverware - we were so hungry that we had basically eaten our food by the time she got around to bringing the silverware 15 minutes later). Their opening night they really didn’t it together and were very understaffed so the service was bad, but we just figured they had some kinks to work out. We went on their opening night in the spring, as well as for their Halloween party last night. We'll go back again - But we'll probably skip the food part. What I will say though, is when these issues along with our server's unattentiveness was brought to the manager's attention he did take the nachos off the bill and provide us with gaming cards. All of these issues ruined most of our experience.
The final straw was the nachos we ordered with beef, arrived with PORK! You can imagine how big of a mistake that is for several reasons. Yet, it still took an hour after sitting before we received our meals. By this time much of the crowd had dissipated.
We ordered burgers, nachos & mac & cheese. Now it was a busy night, but these wait times were more than should be expected.įinally, our food order took close to 30 minutes.
Second, we then waited another 20 minutes to receive our drinks. First, we waited 10 minutes for a server, before deciding to go and ask where they were. We went there on a Saturday night expecting to eat & play. Lucky Strike was a disappointment for my group of 6. The bright side was one of the game guys helped us with this one game that was stuck and even credited us of game. Even when I cashed out for our drink he knew we were looking at menu earlier and never asked if we wanted any food. My wife and I live right up the street and were super excited about this place coming to Assembly and planned on visiting a lot. I was surprised that the guy with the dress shirt and dress pants with an air piece (possibly a manager) never even acknowledge us. There were a few tables but they looked like they had been there for a while. So we asked if we had to order food at the bar or did they have table service. We sat down and not one person came over. We played some more games and decided to eat something before taking her to the airport. We got drinks at the bar which the male bartender was nice.
The games were fun but I was not impressed with the service or lack there of that is. We went today since my sister was in town for the weekend.
